Melissa Worthington, DVM

Dr. Worthington has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1993. She is an Abilene native and has been with Judge Ely Animal Hospital since graduating veterinary school. Dr. Worthington enjoys learning something new everyday, which is a given in veterinary medicine. She enjoys working with dogs and cats, as well as a variety of small exotics. She has three Labrador Retrievers, a Chihuahua, three cats, and a Blue Headed Pionus Parrot.
Michelle Linton, CVA

• Michelle has a special interest in the human-animal bond.
Michelle has been working in the veterinary field since 1994.
She has been with Judge Ely Animal Hospital since 1999. She earned her CVA (Certified Veterinary Assistant) from San Juan College. She has been working toward becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. She has several four-legged children and enjoys spending her free time with them and her husband, Gary. She also enjoys shopping, traveling, and reading.

Kierra has been a team member since 2004. She is the proud mom of a 13 yr old daughter and 8 yr old son. She also has 3 dogs and 3 cats. Kierra started here as a kennel technician and worked her way up to manager of the boarding and grooming facility. Kierra says that she has enjoyed taking care of our boarding pets over the years and now as manager of the Pet Regency enjoys seeing the excitement on the faces of those pets as they come back time after time.
Tracie Bugbee, Veterinary Technician

• Tracie has a special interest in anesthesiology and surgery.
Tracie Bugbee is a graduate of Becker College in Massachusetts and a Rhode Island native. She graduated with a degree in veterinary technology in 2013. She is currently working on her requirements to become a Registered Veterinary Technician in Texas. She originally came to Judge Ely Animal Hospital for an internship in 2012 and returned after graduation to work full time. She is our head surgery technician. Tracie has a Lab mix, two cats, and a beta fish.
Phil Ortega, Veterinary Assistant
Phil's favorite part of the job is the actual hands on daily care of our hospitalized patients.
Phil has been a veterinary assistant here since 2009. Phil is a favorite of our clients and patients due to his obvious compassion and talent in handling animals in a calming manner. Phil is from Sweetwater.
Hannah Rivers, Receptionist

• She is an avid New Orleans Saints fan!
Hannah is a New Orleans native. She joined us in 2012 as a kennel technician and veterinary assistant. Hannah has a 9 year old daughter. She has 3 dogs, 2 cats, and 2 pet rats.
Patrick Frederick, Groomer
Patrick received his grooming training through PetCo in Dallas.
Patrick has been a groomer since 2007. He has been on the staff here since 2010. Patrick loves working with animals and he has 2 dogs, 5 cats, 3 fish, 2 bearded dragons, and 1 rat.
Kendra Wheeler, Groomer
Kendra joined our staff in 2013. She has been in the grooming business since 2011. She has one child. Kendra loves reading, singing karaoke, and anything art related.
Christina Peraza, Kennel Technician

Christina is an Abilene native. She joined us in 2014 as a kennel technician and is working on her certification to be a veterinary assistant. Christina has 3 dogs, Delilah, Jack, and Elly.
